Chocolate Chip & Walnut Banana Bread
What better way to spend your weekend than to bake some warm banana bread studded with chocolate chips and walnuts to fill the kitchen of sweet aroma. Perfect for brunch or on a cold day where comfort fills the tummy, heart, and soul.
1 + 3/4 cups all purpose flour
1 + 1/4 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 bananas, mashed
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Lightly dust bread tin with butter and flour to prevent sticking. Bake for about 80 minutes until golden brown.
Sift together flour, salt, and baking soda and set aside.
Mash and mix bananas and eggs together then add sugar. Hand whisk in milk, vegetable oil, vanilla, and vinegar until well combined.
Dry + Wet Ingredients = Banana bread
Add flour and mix until just combined (when flour just disappears). Do not overmix. Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts.
